College Tracker: A Notion Template
The main difference between my "High School Tracker Notion Template" and "College Tracker Notion Template" is
- Scheduling (day and week views of current semesters as well as schedule building for future semesters),
- Catalogue and Degree Tracking,
- Courses being displayed on the Calendar,
- And the Finances Dashboard (financial aid management, tuition costs, and semester summaries).
Dashboard
A quick overview of your classes and the work to be done for them.
Schedule
Quickly see the classes scheduled for today with their location and times.
Courses
Along the left side of the dashboard is a gallery view of your current courses. Each course has the name, the course code, the next date and time of the class, your grade with color warning indicators, and 4 actions (add assignment, project, exam, or notes).
Course Work
The rest of the dashboard is 3 different views of your assignments and what you need to work on.
- First is a quick checklist-style glance at what's due this week.
- Second, there is a summary section which helps you prioritize your work by summarizing 3 data points: your most urgent assignment, the course with the highest number of assignments due, and the course with the lowest grade.
Finally, there is a board view of assignments to show what hasn't been started, what's in progress, and what is blocked.
Courses
A view of semesters and associated courses.
Class Schedule
See a 5-day, 7-day, or class days only view of your week that includes what classes you have on each day with their location and times.
Enrolled Courses and History
You can see what courses you're currently enrolled in as well as courses taken in previous semesters or ones you've signed up for in the next semester.
Semesters
Each class is associated to a semester. This database allows you to manage your semesters with their start/end dates.
Course Dashboard
When you click on a course, you can view the course dashboard. Each course dashboard has a space to list our required material (textbooks, technology, supplies, etc.), add links to resources, and track assignments and notes.
Degree Tracking and Course Catalogue
Allows you to keep track of your course catalogue and which ones are required for your degree, minor, certificate, etc. Includes a progress bar and percent, a report card view of previous semester grades, and notes to help manage prerequisites and corequisites.
Schedule Builder
A sandbox to help build out schedules for future semesters during open enrollment. Formulas help you figure out overlaps and close calls with your schedule. Also includes a quick view of the course catalogue with what classes you should focus on taking next.
Work
The home for all things tasks: assignments, notes, exams, and projects.
Assignments
List view of the assignments to do, coming up, or completed in the past. Each assignment has color coded due date warnings and priority levels.
Course Notes
You can view notes here or in the Course Dashboard. Here, all of your course notes for the current semester are visible, organized by course.
Exams
Exams are high priority assignments marked with "Is Exam" = true. This will display it on your calendar differently, but otherwise is no different than an Assignment.
Projects and Project Dashboard
Projects are also high priority assignments, but with associated "Subtasks". In the Project Dashboard, you can view all projects that haven't been completed, see your progress on the project, and manage associated tasks.
Calendar
Calendar view of all things with dates: assignments, projects, exams, deadlines, events, and reminders.
At the top of the calendar page is a view of things coming up in the next 7 days. Below that is a month-view of the calendar. Each event type is displayed with different colors, subtexts, and tags.
Finances
Manage your financial aid and semester tuitions.
Financial Aid
Track your different types of financial aid and what their distributions are (per school year, at once, per semester).
Semester Summaries
Quick overviews of each semester and their positive or negative costs: Tuition + Supplies Cost - Financial Aid.
University
Page for links, social media, and other school-related data.
Manage links to your school's social media pages, websites such as sports schedules and online report cards, and campus maps.
